Madisen Bengtson

Maddie Bengtson graduated with a degree in behavioral neuroscience on the pre-medicine track in December 2023. She has been a part of the lab since February 2021 and is currently assisting with research on hyper-palatable foods and also lifestyle behaviors in college students. She is interested in the mechanisms in the brain that drive both the development and also maintenance of eating and substance use disorders. She is also interested in researching different predispositions that may cause an individual to develop an eating or substance use disorder. She is currently working as a CNA at Saint Luke’s South and is a volunteer for Red Cross. Maddie aspires to go to medical school and specialize in either neurology or neuropsychiatry.
