Biography —
Obianuju Onuoha, Ph.D. is a postdoctoral researcher in the Health Behavior and Technology lab. Dr. Onuoha earned her doctoral degree in Medical Nutrition Science at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Her doctoral research focused on quantifying plasma retinol concentrations as a biomarker of vitamin A status in a large cohort of U.S Midwestern pregnant women and examined its relationship with dietary and supplemental vitamin A intake, health and demographic factors, and pregnancy outcomes.
Dr. Onuoha’s research was funded by the School of Health Professions Ph.D. students research grant. Through this work, she developed expertise in nutritional biomarker analysis, dietary assessment, clinical research, data management, and statistical analysis. She also has extensive teaching and mentoring experience in nutrition and food science.
